Huntsman Hometown Heroes

The Hometown Heroes program, through the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, is designed to help participants reach their endurance goals while raising much-needed funds for cancer research at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). The program was started in 2004 and to date has raised over $2.5 million dollars for cancer research. Hometown Heroes can choose from a variety of partnering events, including Little Red Riding Hood, and receive help in training and fundraising to meet their goals.

Get a guaranteed spot in Little Red Riding Hood by joining the HUNTSMAN HOMETOWN HEROES PROGRAM

Huntsman Hometown Heroes (HHH) and Little Red Riding Hood have joined forces!  In 2012, the Little Red Huntsman Hometown Heroes raised over $140,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.

To participate, each HERO commits to fundraising a minimum of $750 for cancer research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

For your part in the HHH program, HCF gives you a guaranteed spot in the race, a fundraising webpage to gather donations from friends and family, a team jersey, and a team VIP Lounge at Little Red!

All funds raised are donated to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and will be earmarked to directly fund breast and ovarian cancer research.

Huntsman Cancer Foundation's sole purpose is to fund the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute: to understand cancer from its beginnings, to use that knowledge in the creation and improvement of cancer treatments, to relieve the suffering of cancer patients, and to provide education about cancer risk, prevention, and care.
